Breeder of fine Pygoras

As we develope our farm and bring new blood to the pygora breed we hope to educate and provide those interested in our little goats with a good start.All our animals are CAE free will have had their CDT vaccine before going to their new homes. We also sell fiber to all those who craft with it wether they spin, weave ,knitt ,Krochette or just use it as a craft medium we have many types and colors available see our fiber for sale page as you browse through and meet some of our fuzzie children- Thanks Brenda

Here are are some of the girls from left to right Kiva who has B type Fleece,her mother Devotion  also B Type Fleece,  Josie  C Type Fleece and Velvet (Uni) as she is affectionatley nick named also a C Type Fleece . In photo above we have Jessie a white angora with her twin doelings Grade Pygoras  Blossom and Jadis. Their mom has A Type Fleece. And above them one of our future herd sires registerd Caramel Buckling Jasper Fleece to be graded at age of one year.

Pygoras are the only animal around that can produce a B type fleece other wize known as cashgora. The wiley little heart stealers came to us by way of a cross breed between registerd angoras and pymy goats their  progeny was know as the gen1. Since then rebreeding a croossbred gen 1 to either the angora or pygmy has created what we know today as the Pygora goat they never exceed more than 75% of either foundation starting breed but they have the best of both worlds. Compact size and beautiful fiber. Spinners , weavers and craft people world wide are amazed at the fiber. They come in three fiber types A wich is mohair the angora trait ,B which is a ununto the breed happening or cashgora /angora cashmere blend, finaly is C type or the ever sought after cashmere. Some goats even exhibit blends of the types. We here at Fort Caprine Fuzzies are trying to deepen the gene pool by breeding new gen 1's and their progeny as to preserve the breed without so much in or line breeding taking place. We also have grade stock available they may not be registerable but still produce beautful fleece as well as heart warming  effects.
